Bucket List: I've joined the club!
This year has been quite amazing thus far. Not only has my business really started taking off and I have a full schedule ahead of me, but I've also officially joined the club and tied the knot! Yep, I'm a married woman:) I may have skipped the whole engagement phase, however, my big day was absolutely perfect, not to mention totally "Brittany".
Now for all those questions...
Who did I marry? My all time greatest friend, the love my life, my biggest fan, my one and only, Ryan S. He is my world, and I am so incredibly blessed to have him as my husband. Isn't he the cutest?!?
What?!?!? We got married! Yes, MARRIED! Nope, NOT engaged - we just skipped right over that:) We set a date about 5 weeks earlier, didn't think too much about it, and bam! We said "I Do"!
When did we say the coolest vows ever written?!? On Saint Patrick's Day, of course. It is the luckiest day of the year, and with our history, we could use a bit of luck;)
Where did we make our families stand out in the freezing cold, where they required tissues not only to absorb their tears of happiness but also for freezing noses? We chose the property of the ever so lovely, Irene Fuller House. I photographed a wedding there last year and knew right then and there that if the day ever came for Ryan and I to make it official, it would have to be here. It's absolutely gorgeous! In addition, I can not speak highly enough of Diana Brewer, the wedding coordinator. She goes above and beyond the phrase! She is simply wonderful:)
(This photo was taken last fall, but I wanted you to see how incredible this house is!)
Why did we finally make it official after 6+ years, 3 apartments, 1 house, 3 dogs and who knows how many fabulous adventures? We thought it would be a nice way to spend our favorite holiday:)
We kept it simple, as we only invited our immediate families and grandparents. We invited them over before the ceremony for a few irish spirits and a pastry or two from our favorite bakery, Blackbird Baking Company. I think our spread was quite lovely, if I do say so myself...
Oh, and the morning of our big day, Ryan and I took a trip to Brennan's, where I gathered the flowers for my lovely bouquet. Oh, how I loved that little bundle... (our dog Tank escaped from his cage 3 days later and ate it.... that's another tale for another time).
So there you have it. I'm an official member of the Married Club!
